The much-anticipated adventure-based show will see actors - Vijayalakshmi, Vikranth, Nandaa, Gayathri Reddy, Srushti Dange, Umapathy Ramaiah, Besant Ravi, Parvathy and a few others whose names are not yet revealed - fighting for their survival as the title suggests in a forest in Africa with minimal resources.

The promo which is already gaining massive attention among fans, also showed the contestants moving through the jungle with ropes, axes and more in order to safeguard themselves. While there were speculations about Anikha Surendran of 'Ennai Arindhal' and 'Viswasam' fame making her entry in the show, the young actress herself took to Instagram to clarify that she's not part of the show.

"This is absolutely insane. I am not part of survivor. I have never been part of any reality show," she said answering to a fan's question in a Q&A session on Instagram. Up next she will be seen in Vijay Sethupathi's 'Maamanithan'.

'Survivor', which has already raised the bar in terms of expectations, will premiere on September 12 on Zee Tamil at 9.30 pm onwards.
