PREMAM DIRECTOR WRITES TO THE CM

Alphonse Puthren seems to have taken a long break ever since he smashed box office records with his Premam a year ago. Now he has seized the eyes of social media with an open letter composed to Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan.

Alphonse's letter raised a few rigorous questions regarding the morality in celebrating the metro rail construction while many homes in this city still yearned for something as basic as clean drinking water. He added that he would rather see the drinking water issue solved than travel in the comforts of a metro.

Alphonse's post received mixed to positive responses from netizens as understood from their comments regarding the same. While his view point was backed up with a lot of support from many people, there were still a few who questioned the depth of his knowledge and involvement in the issue before he placed himself in a position to question the government.
