She recently got engaged "without rings" - as her Roka ceremony news and images took the internet for a swirl. In an exclusive interaction with Behindwoods, the actress opened up on her personal and professional life.

Speaking about her latest stint in Comicstaan in Amazon Prime Video, Vidyu spoke about female comedians in the film industry. "After Manorama aachi and Kovai Sarala ma, no female comediennes are given prime importance. Manorama mam was one who did stints alongside as great an actor as Sivaji Ganesan. Why aren't female comediennes given roles alongside a hero these days?", she questioned.

Talking about her love story, Vidyu Raman mentioned that she was a teensy bit more romantic than Sanjay. "Since he is Sindhi, they have a ritual- Roka - more like a formal announcement. Sanjay came to each Comicstaan episode I shot, sat in the front row and encouraged me. It's hard to find someone whos that encouraging and that's when I thought why shouldn't I choose him as a life partner", breaks the bride-to-be.
