Actor and comedian Vivekh was last seen playing the lead role in Vivek Elangovan-directed Vellai Pookkal, which had him playing the role of an aged sleuth. The actor also made an appearance in the Ajith Kumar-starrer Pongal release Viswasam, which went on to be a blockbuster.
Vivek will be playing the role of a doctor in Harish Kalyan's Dharala Prabhu, the Tamil remake of Vicky Donor, the Hindi film superhit which had him play the lead role. Vivekh will reprise a crucial role that was portrayed by veteran actor Annu Kapoor in the original. The film is said to revolve around the business of sperm donation.
Screen scene, the company that distributed the Vishal-starrer Ayogya, will be producing this remake. Vivekh will be next seen in Vijay's Thalapathy 63, directed by Atlee, which has Nayanthara playing the female lead.
