Today marks 11 years of Karthi and Priyamani’s massive blockbuster Paruthiveeran directed by Ameer. The movie was known for its raw content and rustic feel that attracted audiences throughout. It went on to become one of the biggest success films of the year 2007 and a dream debut for the hard working Karthi.

Actor Karthi's next film with director Rajath, co-starring Rakul Preet Singh is in the pre-production stages currently. The film, untitled as of now, is produced by Laxman and has music by Harris Jayaraj.
Sources close to us reveal that Harris has worked at an amazing pace for the music score of the film. After visiting and returning from the locations where the songs will be shot, the ace music director is said to have finished composing the songs within a short span of two weeks!
