The top 10 grossers in Vettri Theaters for the year 2015

The famous Vettri Theaters in the outskirts of Chennai have come up with their Top 10 grossers list for this year. It is as follows,

1. Baahubali

2. Thani Oruvan

3. I

4. Vedalam

5. Kanchana2

6. Yennai Arindhaal

7. Naanum Rowdy Dhaan

8. Anegan

9. Puli

10. Kaaki Sattai

Rakesh, the MD of the complex furthers,

"We screened the Telugu version of Baahubali on the first 3 days, 3 shows each and all these shows went full. A large number of Telugu moviegoers came in to see the film and this doesn't happen for a normal Tamil film featuring our stars. Once it was evident that the film was a Hit and that the Tamil version wasn't like a mere dubbed film, Tamil audiences also started flowing in. We increased the shows for the Tamil version from Tuesday and the film went great. It is unlikely that any film in the near future, other than Shankar's 2.0, would come close to Baahubali's collection levels for us. Enthiran (2010) is still the highest ever grosser for us.

Coming to Thani Oruvan, the film didn't have much frenzy or full shows on the first day but its word of mouth was something extraordinary. The film really went steady and it was an unexpected phenomenon with everyone having good words to say about the film. Kanchana 2 capitalized on the summer period and if not for the rains, Vedalam would have entered our Top 3."
