Suriya's upcoming Masss with director Venkat Prabhu is set to release on May 29, as reported earlier. We recently met the director for an extensive exclusive interview and here we present to you a brief excerpt from the chat.

 

"I first narrated a 2-hero subject to Suriya sir around the time of Maatrraan. But Suriya felt that it was too 'massy' and hesitated to take it up. He felt that it was in the zone of Ajith sir and Vijay sir, driven primarily by screen presence and wanted something more believable and rooted to realism. That's how he generally picks his subjects and that's where Masss came in.

 

But Masss would also have all the elements to please Suriya's fans and I have ensured that."
