SALMAN KHAN CONVICTED, FOUND GUILTY

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder by the High Court of Bombay in the hit and run case of 2002 and has been sentenced to 5 years in prison. He will be arrested and taken into custody immediately.

The verdict was announced by Additional Sessions Judge DW Deshpande some time back today (6th May). Although Salman has always denied that he was driving the car, the judge pronounced that all the charges against him had been proved and that he was found guilty.

It may be recalled that in September 2002, Salman’s car hit the American Express bakery in the Bandra area of Mumbai and his vehicle is said to have run over five people sleeping on the street, killing 38 year old Noor Ullah Khan and seriously injuring three others. Another person was reported to have received minor injuries.

The verdict on Salman Khan has shocked many of his fans throughout the world.
