BLOCKBUSTER BATTLE ROYALE - I, YENNAI ARINDHAAL, PULI AND VEDALAM

Vedalam’s music album was released on the 16th of October amidst huge fanfare. It was Rockstar Anirudh’s first association with Ajith Kumar and the expectations were skyrocketing. Vedalam had two power packed numbers in the form of Aaluma Doluma and Veera Vinayaka.

The album met with mixed reviews. Its radio performance was overshadowed by Anirudh’s other superhit album Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Eventually Vedalam had to settle for an Above Average verdict in the Behindwoods Top 10 Albums report (The report is extracted based on Chennai city Radio Aircheck data). With more propitious albums waiting to release in the coming days, it’s quite unlikely for Vedalam to garner a Hit upgrade from here.
