Krishna Iyer is not just a name in the independent music circuit; it is more of a voice associated to a talented musician hailing from a musical family. Having been born to a lineage of renowned exponents, Krishna Iyer's first choice was music and he took up singing and lyric writing at a tender age.

Though getting introduced into the tinsel town as a singer with the famous En Peru Meenakumari from Kanthasamy, Krishna's big launch was the chartbuster En Ucchi Mandaila in Vettaikaran. With special affinity towards rap, Krishna continued to sing in films like Endrendrum Punnagai, Thuppakki and for the song Maya Bazaar in Yennai Arindhaal.

The busy singer with lots of stage performances to his credit has now collaborated with the composer trio, Prasan - Praveen - Shyam, in the soon to be released Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka starring Aadhi and Nikki Galrani. Having written one song and given voice for three distinct tracks in the film, Krishna Iyer has contributed quite a lot to YNK.
