Will 2015 be a year for sequels?

Sequels in Tamil cinema have always been a rarity, but if things go well, 2015 could well be the year for sequels. Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2 will most likely see the light of day next year. The makers of Thegidi are also planning a sequel, while director Hari has also hinted that Singam 3 might materlize, God willing.

Ramesh, who made his acting debut through Jithan is currently acting in a sequel to Jithan, as reported earlier. This film has been in the making for quite some time now. The latest we hear is that 60% of this film has been completed. Only the talkies have been shot so far, and the songs and fight scenes are expected to be canned in the next schedule, which will start in another 20 days.

Hopefully all these sequels should hit the screens next year.
