The 'Mankatha slap' continues to haunt Vaibhav

 

Yesterday evening, a special screening of the movie was held for a select group of Behindwoods visitors at the NFDC's Tagore Film Centre in Adyar, Chennai. The film was thoroughly enjoyed by the viewers, comprising youngsters and also family audiences with ladies and kids. 

 

At the end of the screening, the Kappal team including the director, lead pair and the main technicians stopped over at the theater for an interaction and photo session with the guests. The feedback from the audience was positive and the team had fun answering some interesting questions about Kappal and also otherwise.

 

Punjabi 'kudi' Sonam spoke in English and told that she was in the process of learning Tamil. A lot of the male guests were stunned by her looks and commended her for the same, and also for her casual performance. She said that Simran was her role model for similarly being an outsider to the Tamil industry and then going on to rule the industry. Vaibhav is a very talented and down to earth person according to her and ECR is her favorite spot in Chennai.

 

Ajith fans got into the action asking Vaibhav about his unforgettable Mankatha experience and the slap scene in particular. Vaibhav jokingly said that he still gets threats and abuses from fans for this scene in places like the Albert theater in Chennai. Vaibhav plans to see Yennai Arindhaal's FDFS in a safe theater like Sathyam, while he also said that he is waiting for Vijay 'anna' to call him to act alongside him in a film.

 

For those gathered, it was a fun evening on the whole experiencing Kappal, and also getting to interact with the captain and other main sailors of this ship.
