Rahman’s Kochadaiiyaan features in the Oscar race

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced in their official webpage the list of 114 scores from eligible feature-length motion pictures released in 2014 which are in contention for nominations in the Original Score category for the 87th Oscars.

And our very own A R Rahman’s three compositions feature in the list of 114 compositions from music composers worldwide.

Rahman’s “The 100 foot journey”, “Million Dollar Arm” and Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan feature in this list. A real proud moment for all of us indeed!

The 87th Academy Awards nominations will be announced on the 15th of January and the Oscars will be held on February 22^nd at Hollywood.
