Important announcement regarding Behindwoods' weekly Chennai Box-Office Reports

We wish to announce to our readers and the film industry that starting with 2014's releases, Jilla and Veeram, Behindwoods's weekly Chennai Box Office reports would be restricted only to the theaters falling under the 'Chennai City' trade area.

Prior to this, some of the important theaters in the Chengalpet trade area, which are frequented by Chennai city's inhabitants, were also considered by us in our weekly reports. This caused confusion in the trade fraternity about our box-office figures when compared with the actual 'Chennai City' box-office figures. To avoid this in future, we will be focusing only on theaters in Chennai City's trade limit, henceforth.

Theaters which fall under the Chennai City trade limits are - Udhayam complex, Kamala complex, PVR Multiplex, Inox Multiplex Mylapore, Escape Cinemas, Sathyam Cinemas, Devi Cineplex, Shanti complex, Anna, Pilot, Woodlands complex, Casino, Albert complex, Abirami Mega Mall, Motcham complex, Sangam Cinemas, Ega Cinemas, S2 Perambur, Bharath, Maharani, Agasthya, IDream, AVM Rajeswari, Sri Brindha, Ganapathyram

We would also like to request our readers to avoid comparing collection figures of movies in our new box-office reports with our reports from the past as the basis for such comparisons wouldn't be valid.

Collection figures from theaters in the Chengalpet territory will also be made available in a few weeks' time.
