Kaali, on the lines of Paruthiveeran and Naan Mahaan Alla

Actor Karthi who had quite a busy 2013 with 3 releases in Alex Pandian, All in All Azhaguraja and Biriyani, looks set to open his account for 2014 with Kaali, directed by Ranjith of Attakathi fame. Studio Green is producing this film and the shoots have been completed with just a couple of days of patchwork remaining. 

 

The audio of the film, composed by Santhosh Narayanan can be expected towards the end of April and the film is gearing up for a May-end or June release. There are 5 songs totally and they would be montage tracks. Catherine Tresa is playing the female love interest and she would be seen as a local working woman.

 

In Kaali, Karthi would be sporting 3 different facial hair styles at different segments of the movie - a french beard, a full-fledged beard and a proper mustache. After Paruthiveeran and Naan Mahaan Alla, Kaali is expected to be another script oriented success for the hero. 

 

Since the film is set in North Madras, we'll also get to see football matches, involving 7 member teams, which are a feature of the area.
