Lyricist Madhan Karky talks about his new track from Endrendrum Punnagai

Madhan Karky’s exciting new word for Jiiva and Trisha

Oct 17, 2013

A single from Harris Jayaraj’s next album, Endrendrum Punnagai is releasing tomorrow. The track, titled Vaan Engum Nee Minna has been penned by Madhan Karky and crooned by Alaap Raju and Harini. Talking about the song, the young lyricist said, “It is a peppy romantic number, much like Ennammo Edho. Two different character meet and they fall in love. In this song the hero and the heroine express their love in their own way.”

The lyricist adds, “The guy sings about how he thought he would never fall in love, but finally he did and the girl sings about how magical she wants the relationship to be.”

Karky also reveals that he has indeed used some interesting new words like, ‘Unarvigal’. “We have used the words that blend with the theme of the song,” explains the lyricist. About the music, he says, “The transitions Harris has exploited in this number are extraordinary. There are some classical and peppy parts. The singers Alaap Raju and Harini have rendered it beautifully.”

Director Ahmed’s Endrendrum Punnagai, starring Jiiva, Trisha, Vinay, Andrea and Santhanam has five songs and the full album can be expected any time soon.
