Behindwoods had already reported that ‘Parotta Soori’ has been roped in as the chief comedian for the Vijay starrer Jilla. But, it has now come to our knowledge that it was Vijay himself, who recommended the actor for the role. Both Vijay and Soori had shared screen space in Jayam Raja’s Velayudham. That performance of Soori had supposedly made Vijay recommend his name to the Jilla director.

Delaying no further, director Nesan had contacted Soori for the role, who in turn expressed his joy by immediately giving his dates. Thambi Ramaiah is also a part of the film in his capacity as the comedian. 
 

Meanwhile, the film was launched today, 11^th March. The film will also have Kajal Aggarwal, as a working woman, and Mohan Lal doing pivotal roles and Imman composing tunes. RB Choudary’s Super Good Films will fund this project.
