The man who introduced Thala Ajith in Amaravathi, director Selva, when reminiscing about those days recalled that he had plans of doing another film with Ajith, which supposedly was titled Kireedam. Due to several reasons the project couldn’t take off and the director is not realistic about his chances of working with Ajith again since he maintains that his stories often demand new faces.

Selva said that his first impression of Ajith made him feel that he would go on to become one of the most handsome heroes of Tamil cinema but little did he expect the kind of fan following Ajith now enjoys. He also revealed that it was legendary singer S.P. Balasubramaniam who suggested to him to take a look at the young upcoming actor, who would grow up to become ‘Thala’ Ajith.
