Actor-Director Ramesh Aravind is known for his close proximity with Kamal Haasan. When an announcement was made that Kamal would be doing a film under Lingusamy’s production, Thirupathi Brothers, one of the names that emerged as the possible director of the project was Ramesh Aravind since Lingusamy had clearly stated that his role would be only that of a producer.

Ramesh Aravind has been part of popular Kamal movies such as Sathi Leelavathi, Panchathanthiram, Mumbai Express and recently Manmadhan Ambu. Ramesh Aravind had even taken Sathi Leelavathi to Kannada as Rama Shama Baama which he directed and starred in, and also roped in Kamal Haasan to reprise his role from the original.

With regard to the upcoming project, which is being unofficially called as ‘Uthama Villain’, Ramesh Aravind has not distanced himself entirely from it and stated that all information regarding that movie will be delivered only through Kamal Haasan. So it appears that only an official announcement remains to confirm his participation.
