Please don't point out the injustice as I am young - Kamal Haasan

It was reported earlier that Kamal Haasan would be a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award which would be conferred to him at the 15^th Mumbai Film Festival that is to commence on the 17^th of October, 2013. The festival will be hosted by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI).
 

Another recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award is the French filmmaker Costa Gavras who is an Academy Award winner. The interesting part here is that Kamal Haasan is the youngest person to be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award although he has been a part of the industry for over a good fifty years.  
 

When the actor was asked about his feeling on his achievement in a recent interview, he light heartedly requested not to point out the injustice of a younger man receiving the award when there are is a lengthy list of masters who deserve the honour too.
 

He also requested the critics who feel he does not deserve the award to bear with him and he will soon try to justify it, if not by action, at least by growing old enough to deserve it.
 

“For now let me use this honour to encourage me to learn and do more in cinema,” the exuberant actor added.
