Director Prabhu Solomon aka Prabu Solomon talks about his latest project, Kayal.

Prabhu Solomon falls for her eyes

Sep 18, 2013

Director Prabhu Solomon is known for his rustic scripts set in rural locales. His movies Mynaa and Kumki witnessed the introduction of debutants who have had good opportunities in the industry ever since. The director is now ready with his latest script titled Kayal. Like in his previous two movies, Prabhu Solomon has picked up fresh faces in this movie too.

His pick for the movie is Anandhi who will play the female lead. She plays the character of Kayalvizhi, a pretty girl who does not converse much. She communicates her emotions through her eyes. The director was asked about how he chose Anandhi , in a recent interview.

I was looking for girls who have attractive eyes, and when I came across Anandhi's photo, her eyes impressed me and that's why I chose her for the title role of Kayal.

It must be noted that Anandhi’s real name is Rakshitha. The actress, who made her debut in Telugu was keen about doing a role like that of Lakshmi Menon’s in Kumki.

I was auditioned twice for the role. The director has seen my photographs and asked me to come for a screen test. I feel lucky to have bagged a similar kind of role in Kayal.”

The shooting of the movie will kick off soon in locations such as Leh and Ladakh.
