-Award winning movies are not for everyone...But Visaranai is surely for each and every matured adult.Visaranai is all about the emotions of four innocents who were grabbed by police to close a case. This might remind you Vazhakku Enn 18/9's last few minutes. But Visaaranai transforms those intense few minutes in to a full length movie....

-Vetrimaran is the only director in recent times to prove that "Best" and "Favourites" are almost same words. He is the one who shows negative shades in a postive character and positive shades in a negative character. With respect to Visaranai, except the victims almost all are shown as negative characters. They commit inhuman/violent acts which may even arrest your heart...

-Aadukalam's climax and Samuthrakani's role clearly show how realistic film maker Vetrimaran is...One would expect Samuthrakani to fight for justice but he serves as a helpless police officer in the hands of his higher officials...Vetri showcases a simple realistic character rather than giving heroic gimmicks to that character...

-Taking a real life incident and presenting it in International standards may sometimes tire and bore a front row viewer. But Visaranai takes even the front row viewer to edge of the seat. You forget that its cinema. You forget that its theatre. You are into that life. You are into that incident...Everything appears as true to your eyes and even the voices running through walky-talkies appeared so real and made one to feel that he is in a police station.....

-Strong narration and unbelievably realistic camera make us to forget the music running behind the scenes.GV Prakash didnt fill this thriller fully with music, he has given silence in most of the scenes which he is usually good at. Samuthrakani, Dhinesh, Murugadoss, Kishore and other characters have done thier role to perfection. Whenever they are hit it looked so live and real!! Hats off for their dedication!!!

-In climax, Dinesh admits that there is no need of his survival by taking one's life...A place where Vetri silently gives a slap on corrupt/inhuman officials.Vetri sir; you have made an appealing register indeed...

-Do all movies really need the Intermission??? We hav got back to back quality films(Iruthi suttru,Visaranai)...The quality and intensity set up by a brilliant movie losses a bit of attention due to such commercial breaks...A movie having no commercial thoughts needs no commercial break in between...Its time to think about it....

"A gritty-hardhitting movie."
