CELEBRITY WEDDINGS THAT NEVER HAPPENED IN 2012!

It’s the end of the year and hence time for those countdowns to be rolled out. Countdowns that list the different movies you have missed this year, debut artists of the year or promising new talents of the year are passé. Here’s something you haven’t expected; celebrity weddings that seemed more likely to happen this year but just did not happen.  The Prasannas and Snehas and the Saifs and Kareenas of the world are already married, finally. But there are a few, who despite dating for so so long, still reluctant to walk down the aisle. They are the focus of this countdown. Now how’s that for a countdown?

Rani Mukherji and Aditya Chopra

Rumors that Rani is calling the shots at Yash Raj Studios have been doing their mighty rounds for quite some time now. Ms. Mukherji is spotted with Mr. Aditya Chopra many a time in public gatherings as well as in airports returning from their trips together. Recently, she was seen with the bereaving family as almost a member of the family after Yash senior’s passing away. Since Adi does not allow interviews and Rani does not so much speak about her personal life to media, it’s hard to decipher what is going through the couple’s mind. But the fact that they have been going strong and steady for years is proof that the dating has to culminate in marriage.

John Abraham and Priya Runchal

Bipasha Basu is no wife material but John Abraham dated the dusky Bengali for 7 long years before they drifted apart without so much of mudslinging. While Bips seems to lead a sober life, John is busy meeting and convincing the parents of his new girl friend, the investment banker, Priya Runchal who is based in the US, that he is the perfect match for their little girl. Speculation was rife that he will marry Priya this year but that largely remained only hearsay.

Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu

The bold, talented and outspoken sister of Saif has been dating and living with Kunal Khemu for a few years now. They are pretty open about their relationship and there seems to be no opposition from the family either. Now that brother Saif has just got hitched to the queen bee of Bollywood Kareena, Soha also has her line clear of any hurdles for her wedding. Here’s wishing her marital bliss in the year 2013.

Trisha

One of the most successful young talents of the Tamil industry, Trisha is easily one of the most successful actors of the regional language films. The 29 year old, multiple Filmfare award winning beauty is dragging her feet to get into the thirties league but rumors about her impending wedding has already made the topic of many internet webpage discussions. Trisha, however, denies any such occurrences in her life but there is a general feeling that she will soon be married off to someone whom her parents decide to be her groom. Given that she hasn’t chosen one for herself!

Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapoor

Speculations that Vidya and Siddharth are an item have been making headlines for quite long and Vidya neither denied, nor acknowledged the relationship. Fact of the matter, however, is that Vidya is taking it slow and easy since her career took off big time after the super success of Dirty Picture and subsequently of that of Kahani. She might not tie the knot soon, jeopardizing her prospects in movies but Vidya’s marriage is not too long.
