Earlier, director Selva called on Arjun for
his next venture, the remake of old hit Nootrukku
Nooru, for which the actor did not seem to show
any keenness. Not sooner than the incident, Arjun
received a call from Balachander – producer
of the movie – and the veteran expressed
his desire to cast Arjun in the remake project
produced by Kavithalaya. The reason: Balachander
was bowled over by the actor’s performance
in Bommalattam. Arjun has obviously gestured a
nod of consent to Selva after this.
Directed by Balachander, the old Nootrukku Nooru
starred Jaishankar, Nagesh and Lakshmi and was
a thriller sans action, which might as well provide
a makeover for Arjun.
Arjun’s offbeat Bommalattam, directed by
Bharathiraja, is due to hit the screens in the
near future.
