S
J Suryah has created a playboy image
for himself in the three movies that
he has done so far. Whether this was
a coincidence or a planned move is
not clear. It looks planned because
he himself directed two of the three
movies. However, he is now planning
to make a different image for himself.
We will be soon seeing him play a
typical village character in Thirumagan.
The movie is being directed by Rathnakumar
and will see Meera Jasmine for the
first time paired with SJ Suryah.
Kalaipuli
Thanu is producing the movie and he appears
pretty confident about the success of
the movie. He said that the movie had
all the ingredients of a good commercial.
Thanu
said that this movie would be something
along the lines of Kizhakku Cheemayile,
giving a true picture about life in the
village; it’s intricacies and other
aspects. He also added that the romantic
scenes between Suryah and Meera would be
the ones to watch out for, they were sure
to move the audience. The film is also said
to have a healthy dose of comedy. He was
also quick to add that trademark S J Suryah
‘scenes’ won’t have a
place in the film. It will be a clean family
entertainer.
Differences
tend to crop up when one director tries
to direct another. What exactly is the difference
in opinion? Reliable sources point out that
the issue has to do with heroines. The movie
has three heroines in the cast including
Meera Jasmine and Malavika. The argument
is concerned with the screen time and importance
given to each heroine. S J Suryah reportedly
wants Meera Jasmine to be given top priority
while Rathnakumar has other ideas. The issue
has snowballed from a minor difference in
opinion to an ego clash.
At
a point, the progress of the movie
seemed to have been jeopardized. But
producer Thanu interfered in time
and covered up the issue and convinced
both the men to resume work. The shooting
for the movie has resumed, but it
is not known as to whose opinion prevailed.
We will get to know about it when
the movie releases. If Meera Jasmine
gets more screen time than the other
ladies, then we know who won.
