Sneha’s
alleged friendship with Nag Ravi –
a Malaysian business entrepreneur
– spelled trouble for her Telugu
flick Manasupalika Mouna Ragam with
Vikramaditya in the lead. The movie
was also planned to be remade in Tamil
(Aenindha Mounam). Hearing a petition
filed by Nag Ravi stating that the
movie narrates his friendship with
Sneha in a defamatory manner portraying
him as an antagonist, the court decided
to impose an interim stay on the movie
and sought explanation from the producer
Devakumar Reddy within three weeks.
Few
months ago, rumors were abound about
Sneha’s friendship with Nag
Ravi and there was even speculation
that Sneha is tying the knot with
him. Nag presented the media with
photographs of him and Sneha’s
family in close quarters to prove
his stand. In the days that ensued
Sneha declined his claims and approached
the court with a defamatory suit banning
him from using the photos or her name
in public.
As a twist, Nag came out with this
suit stating that Sneha’s film
Manasupalika Mouna Ragam has elements
to slander his image and is a complete
misrepresentation of his camaraderie
with her and wants to ban the film
from being released in Tamil and Telugu.
