Time
flies by, true. Whom you have seen as a
five-year-old kid in the hit Anjali is all
grown and in her adolescent ages –
totally sporting trendy looks as opposed
to her earlier chubby childlike looks. You
have guessed it right folks; we are talking
about Shamili – the darling younger
sibling of Shalini.
Shamili
captured the hearts of numerous kids
and women with her performance as
a child artiste in movies like Anjali,
Durga, Aadi Velli and so on. There
was a time when movies ran especially
for her presence in them and her reign
in Tamil cinema eventually came to
an end when she grew up and decided
to concentrate more on studies. She
is in 2nd year College now studying
for Visual Communication in Chennai.
So is she eyeing Tamil cinema? Only
time will tell, she replies like a
philosopher in her forties.
She
says nobody expected her sister Shalini
to become a star and it happened. She adds,
‘I am concentrating on my studies
right now and do not know what will happen
in the future’. But we had reported
in our website some time back that Shamli,
is keen to make her debut with director
Faazil. This has been confirmed from sources
close to her. Well, Tamil cinema is not
too far honey. We are sure Shamili just
can’t resist her temptation and will
surely be available on screen for the fans
