Noted
director Bhagyaraj advised directors
to name their movie so as to exert
a pull on the kids to perk up their
chance to deliver a hit at the box
office. In his address at the cassette
release function of ‘E’
Bhagyaraj stated that movies like
‘Thiruttu Payale’, ‘Imsai
Arasan’ and ‘Thimiru’
attained box office success owing
to their titles too in addition to
their attractions.
Kids these days are clever and will
like a movie with an out of the ordinary
title, Bhagyaraj opined.
He
said that E would also reap success because
of its catchy title. He went on to narrate
an incident to exhibit his experience.
I
narrated the tale of Krishna to a
kid. Fearing that the eighth kid of
his sister would wreak havoc to his
empire, Kamsan imprisoned his sister
and her husband. Krishna was born
as the eighth child and escaped from
the prison to destroy the empire of
Kamsan. I ended the story and the
child suggested that if Kamsan applied
his brain, he would not have lost
his empire. I, out of astonishment
asked how and the kid replied that
Kamsan should have kept his sister
and her husband in different prisons
to avoid this. This is just an example
to prove the intelligence of modern
day kids, Bhagyaraj stated.
