We
all know that Rajnikanth is man who has
interests that are far and removed from
cinema. He has publicly voiced his inclination
towards spirituality and has declared the
Himalayas as his cherished destination.
He is very often heard talking about the
wonders of the great mountains. One often
wonders whether a man who acts in the most
stylish manners ever seen in cinema throughout
the world can be so highly eloquent about
spirituality. He also has recommended meditation
to people at many of his public appearances.
We have often asked ourselves whether the
man who preaches these, actually practices
them. It is turning out that he does that
and more.
It
is common knowledge that Rajni owns
a farmhouse in Kelambakkam. He uses
it as his hideout when feeling stressed
out. It is interesting to know that
he spends time in his farmhouse contemplating
spiritual matters, reading books on
similar topics, sleeping on the barren
floor and many such ascetic activities.
One gets conformation that Rajni fully
believes in what he preaches.
This is not the only thing that has
come to light. There is a small Hanuman
temple situated close to the farmhouse
and Rajni is in the habit of going
to the temple.
Not
as Rajni, but as a common man wearing very
worn down clothes, arriving on a cycle and
having absolutely no airs. He has managed
to conceal his identity thus far. Perhaps
his greatest achievement as an actor. He
even managed to throw the media off track
for so long, not many manage the same. Such
news also creates apprehension in the mind
of the film buff. If things go at the same
rate, then the day when Rajni calls it quits
from the industry may not be far off. But
we are sure that the almighty will intervene
and persuade the star to continue. After
all, there can only be one superstar. That
is Rajni.
