Dasavatharam
in trouble - complaint lodged against
Kamal

Kamal’s
Dasavatharam is in doldrums now. A youth
by name Senthilkumar from Tambaram has lodged
a complaint to the Commissioner of Police
Ms Letika Saran that Kamal Hassan has plagiarized
his story for Dasavatharam and the filming
should be stopped immediately.
According
to the complainant, he had sent a
copy of his story by registered post
to Kamal’s production office
at TTK Road. Later Kamal’s assistant
by name Murali had telephoned him
indicating Kamal’s wish to meet
him. Hence on August 6th, Senthilkumar
met Murali in Kamal’s office
and handed over a photocopy of the
script as per Murali’s request
because Murali felt that Kamal needed
to read the entire script. After a
week’s time, Senthilkumar was
shocked to find an announcement in
the media regarding a new movie by
name Dasavatharam with his storyline.
When
Murali was enquired on this by Senthilkumar,
the former assured him that Kamal would
use Senthil as an assistant director in
the film and he would be compensated accordingly.
But the film has already begun shooting
with no intimation whatsoever to Senthilkumar
on this. Senthilkumar also claims that he
was threatened by Murali when he contacted
him later when he came to know that shooting
had begun. Irked by this, he has approached
the police to render justice to him. Commissioner
has ordered an enquiry into this.
