Apart
from directing slapstick comedies,
Priyadarshan, the versatile director
from the South who made his mark in
Bollywood only by remaking his hit
Malayalam movies to Hindi, will add
another feather to his cap. He is
on the verge of launching a tabloid
- the focus of which will be on cinema,
mainly sensational with lots of tittle-tattle.
There is an emotional side for this
venture though. It is my father’s
dream to own a newspaper – Priyan
reminisces. Did his father want to
own a movie-based newspaper? That
we have no knowledge of. But Priyan
is in high spirits to accomplish his
father’s dream.
On
a lighter vein, he warns the critics and
media persons who penned criticisms about
his movies to think twice in the future
since he is going to be in the business.
The venture is in the early stages of shaping
and will be circulated only in the South
though featuring cinema news from all over
the country. Media bigwigs and film fraternities
including art director Sabu Cyril will assist
the project. Anyways, Good luck Priyan.
