In
the recent past, there is a lot of interest
from the film fraternity to the cause of
social welfare. Trisha joins the list of
celebrities who has vowed to help the needy
and the under privileged. She was in Adyar
cancer institute yesterday and spent an
hour at the children’s wing of the
hospital. She had arranged for the lunch
for 43 children and ate with them and answered
all their queries.
When
Enakkum Unakkum was released, her
fans had performed paal abishekam
to her cut out much to her dislike.
That’s when she thought about
engaging her fans in constructive
social service. Her fan club has been
launched recently and she said that
her club would be involved in varied
social services like the blood donation
camps, educating slum dwellers etc.
Her busy schedule prevents her from
active social service. But whenever
she gets an opportunity she would
make the best use of it.
While shooting at Hyderabad she got
a day off unexpectedly and she immediately
flew down to Chennai to spend some
time with kids at the Cancer institute.
These
kinds of activities are definitely not aimed
at publicity as she has no dearth of them.
She pledges her support to Vijayakanth as
a co-star. She is not interested in building
marriage halls or entering politics. When
questioned about the marriage of Surya and
Jyothika, she felt happy for them as she
knows both of them very well. Her wedding
is not on the cards right now as she is
too young for marriage.
