embroiled in any kind of controversy and that
he considers Rajini as his younger brother. He
also went on to say that he wouldn't like the
IFFI to discriminate films on regional lines.
The ball is now in Rajini's court. Meanwhile,
the superstar, when contacted, had said that he
might be out of the country during that period.
L. Suresh, President, South Indian Film Chamber
of Commerce, had earlier vowed to convince Rajini
into accepting the invitation to inaugurate this
year's IFFI. Whether Rajini will accept this invitation,
when it is officially extended to him, is something
he alone can answer. His inaugurating the IFFI
will, however, be a fitting tribute to the Superstar
of the Indian cinema.
