For all those intrigued by the title of the film, it draws reference from a Kural in Thirukkural, which talks about how chastity of man is elevated to a higher level when he sees another man’s wife without even an iota of perversion.

Jananathan, known for his realistic depiction of characters and settings in his films has decided to cast five heroines in this film. Though they still have not decided on the cast of the film they have decided on the locales in which the film will be shot. Jananathan’s films all have very interesting locales, be it the dilapidated lighthouse in Iyarkai or the slums in E. Following this, Paeraanmai too will be shot in the dense forest ranges of Coonur, Chaalakudy Thekkady and Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka.
