His maiden venture, with Jeeva in the lead, has been doing fairly well at the box office. Hardly have the paeans stopped coming in, and the director has announced his next project. It is titled Saddam Hussein and has Dhanush playing the lead. Nothing more has been revealed about the plot and other members of the cast.

Though his Kattradhu Tamil came in for some criticism from the audience for its depiction of gore and a wayward second half, it was appreciated for its visuals and deft handling of the first half. Hope he hones his skills in this movie and offers us some thing in the lines of director Mahendran's films - the likes of which the film industry hasn't seen in a long time.
