With the hunt for a leading lady to pair with
director-turned-actor Ameer for Yogi proving futile,
the director, Subramaniam Siva decided to change
the storyline to accommodate a heroine of slightly
higher age.
Earlier, hunt was on for a 13 or 14-year-old
heroine with adolescent looks as Yogi is all about
a relationship between a rowdy and an adolescent
school girl. However, now Yogi will have a heroine
who is a bit older, for which minor changes in
the storyline have been made. Kudaikul Mazhai
fame Madhumitha has been roped in to share the
screen space with Ameer.
