In
the recent past, the number of Tamil movies
that run into trouble while still under
production are alarmingly increasing.
After Vettaiyadu Vilayadu and the Diwali
release Vallavan, it seems that it is
time for Bheema to suffer setbacks owing
to messed up management ranging from finance
to call sheets.
The
future of the movie, which is finished
almost by 20%, lies in the hands of
the producer A.M. Ratnam for mobilization
of funds basically.
With his movies biting the dust back
to back in Tamil and Telugu A.M. Ratnam
seemed to have run out of funds and
is said to be in a state of shock.
His Telugu flick Bangaroo flopped
miserably at the box office and the
Diwali release Dharmapuri proved to
be a dud in Tamil. Had it been released
at a different time, KD had chances
to survive at the box office. Owing
to the monsoons and the release of
Diwali movies, KD received a severe
blow, which eventually made him penniless.
Bheema,
on the other hand is a big budget project
of 10 crores. Apart from the lack of funds,
lack of call sheets from the actors who
require combination shots and improper
utilization of the dates are quoted to
be other reasons for the stagnate state
of the movie. Will Oscar Ravichandran,
who performs the role of a saving angel
for such movies in crisis, take over Bheema
too? Only time will tell.
