Disastrous personal
life
Her
personal life was a disaster and her husband
George went to the court to claim the house,
which was built out of her money in the
upscale area of Chennai, Raja Annamalaipuram.
After a lot of struggle she won the case
against him and eventually a divorce from
him, but the incident left a huge impact
on her personal life. She relocated to Chennai,
which was always her hometown, to Kerala
in search of peace and concentrated on her
mini screen career.
A
good singer and a dancer too
Srividya
was a trained singer and excelled in dance
forms such as Mohiniyattam. She, with her
sister had performed Mohiniyattam in numerous
stages during her childhood days. She has
even sung for a Tamil movie Amaran.
Srividya’s
‘No-entry’ for visitors
She
spent the last days of her life estranging
herself from her friends and relatives.
She was taken care by her friend and co-artist
Ganesh, who is a Malayalam actor and his
mother. Srividya denied permission to visitors
during her days ensuing her end. However,
Kamal paid a visit to her at the Avittam
Thirunal Hospital in Trivandrum and offered
her to fly anywhere in the world for medical
attention.
She
was 53 when a heart attack and an internal
bleeding took her away. Her body was kept
for public homage in Trivandrum and later
cremated with due government respects in
Kerala. Her brother set fire on her pyre.
The demise of Srividya has left hollowness
behind in the tinsel town, which can never
be replaced.
Behindwoods

the loss of Srividya. |
