Mosquito
borne diseases like Dengue and Chickungunya
are on an increase in India and Dengue
has so far claimed more than 15 lives
in the capital city of Delhi. In Tamil
Nadu Chickungunya, a viral disease caused
by a particular mosquito bite is on a
raise causing people with fever and leaving
them with acute pain in joints.
Apart
from the normal public, star victim
cases are reported of Chickungunya
in the recent past. Following Sadha,
– who fell ill for the disease
as reported by us earlier –
reports suggest that Shobana and Jeyam
Ravi are affected by the disease.
Jeyam Ravi’s Diwali is stalled
owing to the actor’s illness.
Ravi was busy shooting for Diwali
when he complained of high fever.
Doctor’s diagnosed his case
as Chickungunya and advised him to
take complete rest. Shoots of Diwali
have been cancelled and will only
resume after Ravi’s complete
recovery, the producer stated.
Another
celebrity case of Chickungunya is reported
in the Shobana household. Shobana is said
to be affected by the disease and was
seen helped by two assistants alighting
the flight from Trivandrum, where she
had agreed to perform in a public gathering.
Her disease did not stop her from performing
and she informed on the stage that despite
her ailment she would dance and would
not disappoint her fans. Shobana’s
performance was received with applause.
