An
advocate has pulled the director and
the producer of Sillunu Oru Kadhal
to the courtrooms. A female advocate
has filed a case against director Krishna
and producer Gnanavel Rajan for showcasing
a film against Tamil tradition. In
her petition, the lady advocate has
said that a wife uniting her husband
with his earlier lady love is against
Tamil tradition and brings a bad shade
to the married Tamil women. This is
the theme of the film Sillunu Oru
Kadhal. When director Krishna was
contacted for his comments, he said
that he did not disrespect the great
Tamil tradition and the story was
that of a real life married woman.
We
have seen many films being pulled to the
courtrooms for various reasons. Is this
done for gaining publicity? Publicity
for whom? For the films or for the advocates?
