Namitha
is crossing the boundaries of Tamil cinema
and is expanding her wings to the neighborhoods.
After examining her luck in Hindi with
Love Ke Chakkar Mein, it is time for her
to debut in Kannada. She is cast opposite
Ravichandran in the Kannada flick Neelakanda.
Speaking
to the press in Bangalore, she uttered
that she is tired of doing the glam
doll roles clad in figure hugging
outfits and running around the trees
in the name of duets. Her name is
synonymous with those kinds of roles.
So, isn’t she happy with being
a dream princess? It seems not. She
says that she wants meatier roles
to showcase her talent in the years
to come.
She is satisfied that she will be
able to display her acting talent
in Neelakanda. This role is challenging
and will provide me with ample opportunity
to show my skills, Namitha asserted.
I
am aware that Ravichandran’s movies
pay prominence to the glam factor, but
I am not worried, Namitha added. Replying
to a question regarding the age difference
between her and Ravichandran she stated
that she feels secured when she is in
company with – that is being paired
opposite – senior heroes. For God’s
sake does she treat her senior heroes
as father figures? Is Sathyaraj listening?
