Noted
lyricist Vali’s household witnessed
the most unlikely visitor when a snake
– king cobra no less – entered
into his residence. The serpent entered
into Vali’s house yesterday (30/09/06)
morning. The lyricist’s wife lost
her nerve upon noticing it and pressed
the panic button requesting for help from
her neighbors. When no neighbors dared
to lay hands on the snake, Vali telephoned
the fire service station in the vicinity
seeking for help to get rid of the reptile.
By
then, the snake entered into the toilet
and the family locked the toilet confining
its movement. The fire service personnel
arrived and after an hour’s
effort found that the snake was hiding
inside the closet. They sprayed water
inside the closet and the startled
snake peeped out of the closet. The
snake was pulled out by its tail and
was rescued alive.
Vali in his statement said that he
came out of his house after hearing
his wife screaming to find out that
a four feet snake was inside the house.
The
snake entered into the toilet and we immediately
locked it out. We called for the neighbors
and when nobody was ready to help us,
I had to call the fire service station
for help, Vali said. The snake was caught
alive only because of the personnel’s
smartness, Vali stated.
