Director Nishikanth Kamath has directed the original version as well. Overwhelmed by the response, Maddy has decided to remake this film in Hindi and also star in it. Bollywood is no unfamiliar territory for this lad as his previous stints in films such as Rehna He Tere Dil Mein, Rang De Basanti and Guru have popularized him among the Hindi audience. This comes as a record feat, not for Madhavan but for director Nishkanth Kamath, as this venture makes him the only director to have directed the same story in three different languages after S.J.Suryah, who made Kushi in Tamil, Telugu and in Hindi. The Tamil version would be the first to hit the screens across India on December 7th. Maddy has also made it very clear that the three versions would have the necessary changes incorporated in them to bring in ethnicity and finesse, in an attempt to do away with the flaws in the original.
