The elephant attacked Manivannan in a brief fit of fury in his foot during the shoots. However, the animal was calmed down by its mahout right after that and saved the entire crew from what could have resulted in a dangerous catastrophe.

Puli Varuthu is in its final leg of shooting and with only a few scenes left to be canned, the movie is expected to hit the cinema halls in December. Produced by ELK Antony and directed by G V Kumar the movie will have Srikanth Deva scoring music. The other cast of the movie includes Karunaas, Saranya and Kuyili.
