Laadam’s shooting commenced and a scene where Charmi is riding a cruiser was being shot on the Poonamallee Highway. Prabhu known for his candid filmmaking style was shooting this sequence from a car traveling in front, when a bike, approaching Koyambedu Junction, scraped Charmi’s bike coming in the opposite direction and toppled its rider. This infuriated the riders of the bike resulting in a clash with the film crew who came to the Charmi’s rescue. Finally the police had to intervene and stop things from getting out of hand. These are the troubles associated with candid filmmaking, definitely an experience that Charmi and Prabhu wouldn’t forget.
