These films went on to win him international
accolades not just for their quality but also
for his entrepreneurship.
S Pictures' upcoming venture Kalloori, directed
by Balaji Shakthivel and music by Joshua Sridhar,
is nearing completion. This film’s audio
release is to be held on November 9th for which
a grand function will be organized in Chennai.
What is more surprising is that, Shankar’s
own company christened S Audio will release the
audio. Industry bigwigs Mani Ratnam, A R Rahman
and few others are expected to grace the function.
Shankar's corporate ideas don’t end there,
as he intends to elevate his direction protégés
Balaji Shakthivel, Simbudevan and Vasantha Balan
to the status of producers. They would be producing
their films on 'first copy' basis for S Pictures.
Shankar seems to have mastered the art of pushing
the envelope further and further.
