A heroine who has been bestowed with everything
in life falls in love with a hero who has
been deprived of everything in life forms
the crux of the story line in the forthcoming
Machakaran where Jeevan plays the role of
hero. The film traces the events in the life
of such hero who with his wide ranging activities
gets the heroine for himself finally.

Thamizh Vaanan wields the megaphone for this film after
Kalvanin Kaadali in which S J Surya and Nayantara featured.
While talking about Machakaran and Kalvanin Kaadali Thamizh
Vaanan says, “I was very relaxed while shooting
for Kalvanin Kaadali but am very tensed now. I think much
before and do my home work thoroughly before I go on the
sets”. He is much in praise of hero Jeevan and his
commitment towards work. After giving two hits in Thiruttu
Payale and Naan Avanillai, Jeevan is on the path to his
hat trick success and the director feels that he should
be instrumental in bringing Jeevan his third hit too.
Machakaran has Kamna as a college going girl. Jeevan will
not figure in his usual form of cheating or conning women
but in a different shade this time. When the director
was questioned about the unusual title he reveals that
though the hero is unlucky in most aspects in his life,
he proves to be very lucky in one particular issue which
forms part of the suspense quotient in the film. This
seems to explain the title of the film.
Music for the film is being taken care of by Yuvan Shankar
who according to the director has done remarkably well
in Machakaran. The numbers are certainly going to be chartbusters.
The film is likely to hit the screen in August.
