Simbu might be embroiled in a lot of controversies
these days, but his career graph seems to
be moving up. After Vallavan, he was ready
for Kaala. Kaala, being directed by Timiru
fame Tarun Gopi is shaping up very well, with
the shooting progressing in full-scale in
different parts of the country. Vedika plays
Simbu’s heroine in this movie.

The big news however is that Simbu’s new film is
finding some unexpected takers. Seems like Simbu will
soon set his foot into the Telugu film industry. Though
Kaala is still in the nascent stage, many contenders had
been vying for its Telugu dubbing rights. With the Union
Minster, Dasari Narayan Rao, well-known director and producer
in the Telugu film industry, procuring the dubbing rights
the decks have now been cleared. A film’s dubbing
rights being bought even while the film is in it’s
early stages! That is something that is reserved for big
stars, big directors and big banners. If Kaala’s
rights have been bought despite there being no big names
involved then it speaks volumes about the faith that the
investors have in the star power of Simbu.
But then, there is a different angle to this news. Timiru,
starring Vishaal had been dubbed into Telugu and had been
well received there. This might have prompted the producer
to bag the rights of Kaala, after Kaala too is being directed
by the same person, Tarun Gopi. Also remember that Simbu
has tasted success previously in Tollywood with Manmadhan’s
dubbed version.
So, for the Telugu producer who has bought the rights,
this is a coming together of two successful young men.
Now it is up to the Kaala team to come good and justify
the producer’s faith in them.
