The popular game show Thanga Vettai
is getting a face lift. The glittering
sets designed by noted art director,
G K had cost about Rs. 60 lakhs for
the V-Can company. Now, the producers
have decided to erect a new set of
props at the Campa Cola grounds in
Chennai. The estimated cost would
be around Rs. 75 lakhs. There are
hushed discussions about why the new
look. Is the programme going to a
rival channel or the producer would
continue with Sun TV? Or is it just
to beat audience fatigue with the
