First it was, Shalini, soon Vaishnavi
and now came the news about Shradha…the
whole small screen world is in mourning
and is yet to come out its deep shock.
Before even they could recover from
the tragic loss of Vaishnavi, out
of the blue has come the shocking
news of the suicide of Shradha, a
just passed out college student who
was doing a neat job in ‘Kolangal’.
She was known to be a cheerful person,
always full of life. But of late,
it was said that she was looking a
little in low spirits for reasons
best known only to her. |

“We
need to put a full-stop to this unfortunate
trend of young girls taking away their lives,”
said a visibly shocked ‘Vaathiyar’
Raman, President of TV Artistes’ Union.
He lamented that many did not up for the
counseling session which they had set up
after Vaishnavi’s death to prevent
similar happenings. “This is a great
tragedy. We can’t go into the lives
of each and every artiste and it is their
interests to attend counseling sessions
like these to come out of the personal problems,”
he said.
He said there were plans to re-convene the
sessions again and had asked all the members
to attend them without fail. Meanwhile,
the hunt is on by the city police to get
behind the real cause behind the death of
young Shradha. |
